AI Solutions for UK Businesses

AI lead qualification, document triage, and custom AI platforms for UK businesses. Built by a Cardiff studio whose founder’s background is in compliance and financial crime — so if you’re in a regulated sector, the human review workflow and audit trail come standard rather than as an add-on.

What AI actually is — and what it isn’t

The last two years have produced more AI marketing than working AI. Before we scope anything, we agree what AI is genuinely good at in your context — and where a rules-based workflow or a human will do a better job.

What it IS good at

  • Triaging inbound enquiries against a well-defined taxonomy (practice area, urgency, sector)
  • Turning unstructured documents into structured data (invoices, CVs, application forms)
  • Drafting first-pass responses in a defined tone of voice for a human to approve
  • Ranking or scoring records against a policy (lead quality, admissions fit, credit exposure)
  • Extracting entities and answering questions across a corpus of your own documents

What it isn’t good at

  • Making regulated decisions autonomously — the human accountable for the outcome must remain in the loop
  • Replacing a workflow that’s already deterministic and cheap
  • "Creative" output at scale without editorial review — the results tend to be same-y and off-brand
  • Reliable production use without a documented eval framework — LLM output quality drifts with model updates and prompt changes

What we actually build

Bespoke AI is not a chatbot bolted onto a website. It’s an end-to-end system: data pipeline, LLM inference, evals, human review UI, and integration with the tools you already run. The concrete example we point clients to is AGP — an AI-powered admissions CRM triaging applications by fit, urgency and funding route, with a human approval step before every enrolment decision.

Governance

Regulated sectors — a word on AI governance

Our founder’s background is in regulated financial services — specifically compliance and financial crime. That translates directly to how we scope AI in other regulated sectors: for solicitors, accountants and healthcare providers, we design AI systems that keep the human accountable, log every model decision, and produce an audit trail a regulator can actually read.

If your AI project needs to sit behind a login and integrate with existing case-management or client systems, that overlaps with our portal and platform work — and we scope the two together rather than treating them as separate engagements.

What makes AI worth buying

The reliable test is time saved per week, priced against the fully loaded cost of the person doing the work today. If a bespoke AI tool saves your admissions coordinator ten hours a week, and the coordinator’s time costs £30 per hour fully loaded, the tool is worth £15,000 a year in labour alone — before you count the enquiries that stop leaking through the cracks.

Anything that fails that test is optional, and we’ll tell you so on the first call.

Pricing

Lead qualification agents start from £2,500. Custom AI platforms are priced on scope. Full pricing on our pricing page. VAT is charged at 20% on top. Every engagement starts with a written scope and a fixed-fee first phase.

Frequently asked questions

What am I actually buying when I buy custom AI?
You’re buying a system, not a chatbot. That means: a data pipeline into your existing tools, an LLM inference layer, an evaluation framework so you know when the model regresses, a human review UI for anything the model can’t decide alone, and integration back into your CRM, email or accounting stack. Not a chatbox on your website.
Is a chatbot the same as a custom AI tool?
No. A chatbot answers FAQs against a static knowledge base. A custom AI tool is configured against your own data, integrates with your existing systems, and makes decisions or takes actions on your behalf under a human review workflow. The second is significantly more valuable and more expensive.
How do you handle governance and compliance?
UK GDPR, ICO guidance on automated decision-making, and (where relevant) sector-specific regulator guidance. All model inputs and outputs are logged; every decision has a documented human-review step where required; and data used for training or fine-tuning is scoped explicitly in the engagement contract. Our founder’s background is in compliance and financial crime, so we build audit trails a regulator can read.
What can you integrate AI with?
Most modern CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive), accounting stacks (Xero, QuickBooks), messaging (Slack, Teams, email), and any system with an authenticated API. For older systems, we build a lightweight sync layer.
How long does an AI build take?
From 4 weeks for a scoped enquiry-qualification agent to 12+ weeks for a full end-to-end admissions or intake platform. Everything starts with a written scope and a fixed-fee first phase — no bespoke AI quoted off a brochure.
