Church Website Design UK

Welcoming, easy-to-use websites for UK churches and places of worship — so the people looking for you can find you.

The problem

Why churches & places of worship need a better website.

  1. 01

    Visitors can’t find service times

Times are buried three clicks deep or hidden in a PDF that hasn’t been updated since 2019.

  2. 02

    Giving is offline-only

No online donations, no Gift Aid capture, no recurring giving — the easiest contributions are the ones you don’t collect.

  3. 03

    No events or sermon archive

Newcomers can’t preview what to expect; regulars can’t catch up on what they missed.

What we build

What we build for churches & places of worship.

Clear service times on every page

Front and centre, with location and "What to expect" copy for first-time visitors.

Online giving / donation CTA

Single-tap giving with Gift Aid capture and optional recurring donations.

Events calendar

Upcoming services, study groups and community events — easy for staff to update.

Sermon archive section

Searchable archive with audio, transcripts or video embeds — depending on what you record.

Photo gallery

A welcoming visual story of community life that newcomers can browse before turning up.

Why us

A studio that takes community organisations seriously

A church website doesn’t need flash — it needs warmth, clarity and a small set of jobs done very well. We build sites your volunteer team can actually maintain, in a tone that matches your community.

Pricing

What this typically costs.

A Launch Page (from £799) covers most single-congregation websites; larger parishes with events programmes usually need a Business Website (from £1,999).

What most church websites fail to do

  • Bury service times three clicks deep instead of putting them front and centre
  • Rely on a PDF newsletter or Facebook feed for the events people actually search for
  • Feel dated and cold — undermining the welcome your community works hard to give in person
  • Offer no online giving or Gift Aid capture — leaving contributions on the table
  • Miss the "what to expect" copy that a first-time visitor needs before they’ll walk through the door

What a church website actually needs to do

  • Answer the two questions a newcomer has: "When are services?" and "What will it be like?"
  • Give regulars an easy way to catch up on sermons, events and community life
  • Let anyone give — securely, on mobile, with Gift Aid captured where eligible
  • Publish an events calendar the volunteer team can genuinely maintain

Online giving and donations

A well-implemented online giving flow — one-off or recurring, with Gift Aid capture and receipts — reliably lifts total giving by double-digit percentages compared with cash-and-envelopes-only. We integrate whichever platform your treasurer prefers (Give A Little, Stewardship, Church Suite, JustGiving, Stripe) rather than lock you into ours.

GDPR for churches

Churches are data controllers just like any other UK organisation. Members’ rolls, safeguarding notes, event registrations — all of it is personal data. We build enquiry and registration forms with explicit consent capture, retention notes documented up front, and the special-category safeguards that pastoral records require.

What we include in the standard church package

  • Service times displayed on every page
  • "What to expect on your first visit" copy tuned to your congregation
  • Online giving integration with Gift Aid capture
  • Events calendar volunteers can update
  • Sermon archive with audio, video or transcript options
  • Community photo gallery
  • GDPR-compliant enquiry and registration forms

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you handle sermon recordings and archive?
Yes. We build searchable sermon archives that support audio, video or transcript formats — whichever you already record.
Which online giving platforms do you integrate with?
Give A Little, Stewardship, Church Suite, JustGiving and Stripe are the most common. We embed or link to whichever your treasurer already prefers.
We’re a smaller congregation. Is a Launch Page enough?
For most single-congregation churches, a Launch Page (from £799) covers service times, giving, events and a sermon feed comfortably. Multi-site or larger parishes usually step up to a Business Website (from £1,999).
Who keeps the site updated once we launch?
You do — we hand over a CMS a volunteer with no technical background can genuinely use. Ongoing maintenance from us is optional if you’d prefer.
How do you handle GDPR for member and pastoral data?
Forms use explicit consent capture, we document retention up front, and pastoral or safeguarding records are treated as special-category data with the additional safeguards the ICO expects.
